Body Hotel / Music video

Sometimes I feel as though music videos are editorial designs, with light, sound and sometime a story. This is one of those times.

The concept of the music video was to create a visual interpretation of every single sound in the song (bassdrum, snare, hihat, vocals, etc.)
Each sound is associated with colour and movement. The video was created using a mixture of stop-motion and realtime-video. The elements are made out of cardboard and wood – supplemented by an animated vector graphic.

Music: “Body Hotel” by Thomas Schaeben & Schad Privat (Remix by COMA)
Directed & Produced: David Lüpschen
Sounddesign: Marius Bubat

Edward de Bono, renowned expert on creative thinking, talks about creativity and about thinking outside the box.

He also presented a televised course in the early 1980’s on the BBC — Lecture 4 “Lateral Thinking” he talks about how creatives can be rigid and how humor helps the creative mind create. Definitely worth a watch.
