Hotel Daniel
In awe of this extensive and minimal brand design and photography work by  moodley brand identity.
Hotel Daniel Vienna has landed in the Austrian capital with 116 rooms and the motto: Urban Stay, Smart Luxury. It enjoys a prime location in a building steeped in history. Hotel Daniel Vienna features art by Erwin Wurm and bees on the roof, an original American trailer and vines in the front garden as well as international cuisine and a relaxed atmosphere in the Bakery. Urban Stay offers modern travellers a vibrant and pulsating blend of innovative ideas which are far removed from cumbersome hospitality and the conventional charm of hotel chains. The idea has also gone down well with local city dwellers, making the Daniel Vienna an urban meeting place which adds up to a lot more than simply “a good place to stay overnightâ€.
LUX* Island Resorts
Identity and collateral for 5-star resort group by & SMITH.
With five Indian Ocean properties, LUX* Island Resorts offer lighter, brighter holidays. Involved from an early stage, we contributed to strategy, naming and operational concepts before creating the brand identity. Vibrant and distinctive, the identity reflects a lively, spontaneous brand seeking to avoid the predictable patterns associated with luxury travel. A monolithic logotype is supported by a broad colour palette and candid photography, while operations respect a ‘light-footed’ commitment to preserving the islands‘ natural beauty. A comprehensive roll out has encompassed everything from ’50 Reasons to go LUX*’ (a unique twist on traditional brochures) to websites, room directories, menus, sub-brands and complimentary holiday journals for every guest.
PANIC ROOM
Tilt :
The hotel Au vieux panier asked me to design a room, I first told them that I wasn’t interested doing just decoration in the room but I wanted to create something that will look more like an installation. I thought about it also as a huge canvas where I needed to think about the composition and play with the empty white part of the room to accentuate more the idea of Chaos on the other part. Then I asked my friend Tober who gat a great old school style for tags, Grizz who is also the man behind the camera and Don Cho who is a Hip Hop singer from Marseille but who used to be a tagger from my home town Toulouse. It took one week to do the whole thing cause the idea was to exaggerate what you can usually see in some abandoned places. Too much tags, too much drips, too much sentences, too much throw ups … What I also wanted to show is that people can appreciate any type of graffiti, even the more basic, it’s just a matter of point of view …
