Makers, Dreamers – Handmade Embroidery
“We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams” is a quote taken from Ode by Arthur O’Shaughnessy via the film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. A bit of whimsy and playful type, this is our largest piece to date at A1 and features some things close to our heart.

Frank
Frank is an Austin, Texas mecca for bacon-lovers, beer-guzzlers and encased meat enthusiasts.
I worked collaboratively with the team of owners to build a “third place†accessible to a diverse range of patrons, from tattooed hipsters to senators, local celebs and blue-collar workers hungry for a dog. Sausage is not a modest food, and the brand collateral reflects its pride and majesty. Our goal was not just to create a celebration of food, but to also build a culture and community.

Dronninga Landskap
Dronninga Landskap is one of Norway’s leading landscape architects. Identity design by Kristian Tennebø.
To tell the story of craftsmanship and tradition, we made a labyrinth of the letter D, which became the most important element of the new identity. The classical labyrinth is a universal symbol for landscape architects and can be traced back to medieval times. For them it represents a way of thinking and catalyst for how they attack their projects.
As in nature, the feeling of touch and perspective, became an important feature in the new identity. Tactile uncoated papers, wide range of embossing, screen printing, varnishes and
all routed elements in their signage.

l’Épicerie
The identity created for the french bistro “l’Épicerie” is inspired by its theme and its aesthetic “old France”. The project is based on the popular and obsolete image of merchant who prepares the orders for his customers using kraft packaging paper and bits of string. The menu comes in two versions, the grocer’s notebook to flick through, or the newspaper to unfold.
